Gretchen Is 2 Months Pregnant March 2009
My one and only daughter, Gretchen, is pregnant at age 29. It seems like I have been waiting forever to be a grandmother but it has finally happened.....Yay!!!! The picture of Gretchen and I is when she was 17 as she is in her senior pic as well. I have only one.....but I got a good one. I wish Gretchen and her husband, Keith, all the best!!!

My Favorite Color Swap (Blue) Received from Candigirl (Sandi)
I received this cool package from Candigirl for Your Favorit Color Swap! Can you guess mine is blue? I love everything. The windsock, the windchime, the blue gemmed picture frame, the blue goodies (gum, m&ms, peeps), blue gift bag with tissue paper, penguin tissue and a nice card with a note inside. I was spoiled from the get go. Thanks, Sandi!!

MY LATEST SEWING PROJECT
I spent this weekend making a valance for Laura's new baby girl's room. She already has a solid color for the curtains. She wanted to take the bedskirt from the bedset and add it to a 3" strip of solid pink and make the valance to match the bed and curtain. She also wanted ties at the top for tying bows onto the rod.......this was a brainteaser to create the pattern myself and get all the measurements right. I think it turned out pretty cute and Laura does too. On to my next project.

Quick Swap VIII received from Synchrodoll
I am going to be more diligent about taking pictures of my swap items sent and received for Swap-Bot swaps that I belong to. Sometimes you get a nice one like the one I received from Christine -- Synchrodoll. She sent a cool craft magazine, handmade paper, puffy bears, a gummi bear notebook (she knows I love gummi bears from my profile), a scrumptious looking chocolate bar from Germany where she lives, Strawberry Shortcake stickers (My fav) and a to die for Las Vegas pin that lights up.
I was a happy camper when this came in the mail! Thanks, Christine!
